LED/LCD Smart TV Repair

LED, LCD & Smart TV Repair

No picture, no sound, backlight and panel faults, HDMI and port problems, and smart TV software issues — diagnosed at your home wherever possible.

Overview

Most "dead" televisions are not dead

A television with sound but no picture is one of the most common faults we see, and it is very often the backlight rather than the panel — a repair that costs a fraction of a replacement set. Equally, a completely dead TV is frequently the power board rather than anything terminal.

We diagnose first and tell you plainly which of the three it is: a board-level repair worth doing, a panel replacement that rarely makes financial sense, or a software problem that needs no parts at all. Where the work can be done in your home we will do it there rather than taking the set away.

What We Do

What TV Repair Covers

LED, LCD and Smart televisions of all sizes, from every major brand.

Backlight Faults

Sound but no picture, dark patches or a screen that is only visible under a torch — usually the LED backlight strips.

Power Supply

Sets that will not switch on, click repeatedly or shut down after a few seconds, traced to the power board.

Audio Faults

No sound, distorted sound or one working speaker, at the amplifier, speaker or board level.

Panel & Display

Lines, patches, flicker and cracked panels — assessed honestly, since a panel swap is rarely worth the cost.

Smart TV & Software

Wi-Fi and connectivity faults, apps crashing, firmware problems and factory resets.

Ports & Inputs

HDMI, USB and AV ports that no longer detect a source, and remote or IR receiver problems.

FAQ

TV Repair — Common Questions

Usually not. That symptom most often points at the backlight, which is a repair rather than a replacement. Shine a torch at the screen — if you can faintly make out the picture, the panel is alive and the backlight is the problem.

Wherever the work allows it, yes. Board-level repairs sometimes need a workbench, and if the set has to be collected we will tell you before we take it.

A cracked panel means a panel replacement, and on most sets that costs close enough to a new television that we will tell you it is not worth doing. We would rather say so than sell you the job.

Yes, LED, LCD and Smart televisions across all the major brands and screen sizes.
