Geyser Repair
Geyser & Water Heater Repair
Storage and instant geysers — heating element and thermostat replacement, leakage, descaling, pressure valve checks and safe installation.
Overview
Electricity and water, so the details matter
A storage geyser is the highest-wattage appliance in most bathrooms, and its safety depends on things that are easy to get wrong at installation: a genuine earth, an RCD on the circuit, a dedicated line rated for the load, and a pressure relief valve that has not been sealed shut by scale.
We check those as part of any visit, not just the fault you called about. Hard water is the usual culprit behind failed elements here, and scale also eats the anode rod that protects the tank from corrosion — which is why older tanks start to leak. If we find an earthing or circuit problem, we will tell you rather than simply refit the element.
What We Do
What Geyser Repair Covers
Storage and instant water heaters, wall-mounted and under-sink.
Heating Element
Burnt-out and scaled elements on geysers that no longer heat, or take far longer than they used to.
Thermostat & Cut-out
Thermostats that no longer regulate, and thermal cut-outs that keep tripping on overheating units.
Leakage
Leaks at the inlet and outlet, the element gasket and the tank itself, with an honest assessment of which are worth repairing.
Descaling
Tank and element descaling in hard-water homes, together with an anode rod check.
Safety Checks
Pressure relief valve, earthing and circuit checks — the parts that matter most and get looked at least.
Installation
New installation and relocation with correct mounting, plumbing and electrical connection.

FAQ
Geyser Repair — Common Questions
Is it safe to leave the geyser switched on all day?
It relies entirely on the thermostat never failing, and thermostats do fail. Switching it on shortly before you need hot water is both safer and cheaper to run.
I get a slight shock from the tap. What should I do?
Switch the geyser off at the MCB and do not use it until it has been checked. A tingle at a tap or shower fitting points to a leakage fault and an earthing problem, and it is the one symptom on this page that should never wait.
Why does my geyser need descaling?
Hard water leaves scale on the element and inside the tank. Scale makes the element run hotter than it was designed to, which is how elements burn out, and it also attacks the anode rod that protects the tank.
Do you install geysers as well as repair them?
Yes — mounting, plumbing and electrical connection, including a check that the circuit and earthing are suitable for the load.
