Can old house wiring cause this fault?
It can, and in the older Delhi colonies it often does. Circuits in Karol Bagh, Patel Nagar and parts of Lajpat Nagar were laid for a far lighter load than a modern household draws. If the supply side is what damaged your appliance we will say so, because replacing the part without fixing the cause only buys a few months.
There is no parking on my lane. Will that delay the visit?

How often does an AC need gas refilling?
A properly sealed system should not need it at all. Refrigerant is not consumed. If your AC needs gas every season there is a leak in the pipework, the flare joints or the coil, and charging it again without repairing that leak is money spent on a countdown. We pressure-test and trace the leak first.
What is the difference between AC service and AC repair?
A service is planned maintenance — filters, coil and blower cleaned, drainage cleared, gas pressure and electricals checked. A repair fixes something that has failed. A good share of “not cooling” complaints turn out to need a service rather than a repair, and we will tell you when that is the case instead of selling you the bigger job.
