What happens during the visit for Side by Side Refrigerator Repair?

One side cools and the other does not. Is that a gas problem?
Rarely. On a twin cooling model each compartment has its own evaporator and its own airflow, so a single failed side usually means a fan, a damper or a sensor on that side — not a refrigerant fault. Refrigerant loss almost always shows as both sides losing performance together.
Why has the ice maker stopped working?
The order we check it is: water supply and inlet valve, then the filter, then the fill tube for a freeze blockage, then the ice maker module and its thermostat. On hard water a scaled inlet valve is the most common cause and one of the least expensive to fix.
Should I repair or replace a refrigerator that is not cooling?
It depends entirely on which part failed. Relays, thermostats, sensors, fans and defrost heaters are all economic repairs. A failed compressor or a leaking evaporator inside the cabinet wall on an older unit is a different conversation, and we will give you the numbers rather than a recommendation to spend.
What if the fault comes back after the repair?
Call us and we return. That is the point of warranty on eligible repairs: if the same fault reappears while the repair is still covered, we come back and put it right. What is covered is confirmed with you at the time of the repair.
