How quickly can you attend a commercial freezer breakdown?
We treat freezer failures as priority calls because stock is at risk. Tell us when you book that it is a commercial unit with stock inside and we will get you the earliest slot of the day, along with advice on how to hold temperature until we arrive.
Why is my deep freezer not freezing properly?
In order of frequency: a condenser choked with dust, a lid gasket no longer sealing, heavy internal ice, a failed relay or thermostat, and only then a refrigerant leak. The first three cost very little to put right and account for a large share of the calls we attend.
How often should a deep freezer be defrosted?
Whenever the ice reaches about a centimetre — for a busy commercial chest freezer, that is usually every couple of months. Ice insulates the cabinet from its own evaporator, so the unit runs longer and colder for less effect, and the electricity cost climbs with it.
Do you service commercial and visi-cooler units too?
Yes — chest freezers, upright freezers, visi-coolers and display units for shops, restaurants, bakeries and cloud kitchens. These run far longer duty cycles than domestic appliances, so we also set up a servicing interval rather than waiting for the next breakdown.
