Overview
What actually goes wrong with semi-automatic washing machine in Delhi NCR
A semi-automatic machine is two appliances in one cabinet — a wash tub with its own motor and a separate spin tub with another — and that is why it is worth repairing. The parts are mechanical, individually replaceable and inexpensive, so a fifteen-year-old twin-tub is often still an economic repair when a fully automatic machine of the same age would not be.
We repair semi-automatic washing machines across Gurgaon, Noida, Delhi and Faridabad. What fails first genuinely differs by city — water hardness, supply voltage, dust load and the age of the housing all push the fault pattern in different directions — so the city pages below carry that local detail rather than repeating a single national answer.
What you get is a technician who tests rather than assumes, a price agreed before the work, and a straight answer if the honest recommendation is not to spend the money at all.
What We Do
What we diagnose and repair
Each of these is diagnosed on site before anything is quoted.
Wash Motor & Pulsator
Wash motors that hum without turning, seized pulsators, sheared drive couplings and worn capacitor-start windings.
Spin Motor & Brake
Spinners that will not reach speed, brake bands that drag or fail to stop the tub, and the lid switch that cuts the spin.
Timers & Selector Knobs
Mechanical wash and spin timers, water selector knobs, and the contact wear that makes a cycle stop halfway.
Drain Lever & Hoses
Drain levers that no longer seat, split drain pipes, blocked outlets and the tub seal that leaks between wash and spin.
Symptoms
When a semi-automatic washing machine fault stops being minor
A semi-automatic washing machine rarely fails without warning. These are the signs that come first.
- The wash tub hums but the pulsator does not turn
- The spin tub takes far too long to reach full speed
- Water drains from the wash tub while it is still filling
- The timer knob keeps sticking or clicks straight past a stage
- The spinner will not stop quickly when the lid is opened
- Water leaking from between the two tubs
Process
What to expect on the day
You know the price before stage four.
01
Book a slot
Give us the make, model and what the machine is doing. That decides which parts the technician loads before setting out.
02
On-site diagnosis
A live test cycle is run and any stored codes read, with drainage, inlet, motor and drum checked before anything is quoted.
03
Price confirmed first
You are told what has failed and what it costs. Work starts only once you agree.
04
Repair on site
Most faults are fixed in your home in one visit. Only bearing work occasionally needs the machine taken away.
05
Test and hand over
We run a full cycle with you watching, hand over the replaced part, clean up and issue the warranty.

FAQ
Before you book — the usual questions
Is a semi-automatic washing machine still worth repairing?
More often than any other machine type. The parts — wash motor, spin motor, timer, drain lever, tub seal — are individually replaceable and modestly priced, so even a machine over a decade old is usually worth putting right rather than replacing.
The wash tub hums but does not turn. What is wrong?
The motor is receiving power but cannot start. That is normally a failed start capacitor, a seized gearbox or a sheared coupling between the motor and the pulsator. The capacitor is the cheapest and the most common of the three, so it is where we start.
Why does my spinner vibrate so violently?
Almost always an unevenly loaded tub, but if it happens on a balanced load the suspension springs or the rubber mountings under the spin assembly have gone. Left alone, that vibration works the tub bearing loose and turns a small job into a large one.
Water leaks out while the wash tub is filling. Why?
The drain lever is not seating fully, or the seal it closes against has hardened. Both are inexpensive parts. It is worth fixing quickly, because a tub that never holds its water properly makes the wash motor run far longer than it should.
Why is my washing machine not draining?
The drain pump filter is the first thing to check — coins, buttons, clips and lint collect there and block the flow. If the filter is clear it is usually the pump itself, a blocked drain hose, or a pressure switch that no longer registers the tub emptying.
